Even if you haven’t taken care of your skin before, it’s never too late to achieve your skin care goals.
Allow me to explain.
A full regimen is actually fairly simple. We call this collection of skin care products the ‘sacred six,’ and it consists of the following:
Here’s how you’ll use it:
- Cleanse, tone, and moisturize twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. You may want to cleanse during the day if you’ve been sweating heavily. Also, using a moisturizer with a sun protection factor of at least 15 is essential during the day; at night, you will want to use a non-sunscreen moisturizer or night cream. Apply your eye cream.
- Exfoliate between one to three times every week, depending on how sensitive your skin is. If your complexion isn’t at all sensitive, you can exfoliate three times; if it’s very sensitive, try exfoliating once a week. Exfoliation can either be done with a scrub or a chemical exfoliant (such as Glycolic Acid).
- Use a mask twice a week to target your skin conditions, such as serious dryness or oiliness, acne, sensitivity, or the appearance of aging. The purpose of masks is to zero in on the issues you’d like to improve.
It’s pretty simple. If you’re currently seeking a skin care system and just want to get your feet wet, start with cleanser, toner, and moisturizer and work your way up! A consistent routine is the very best way to get the skin that you’d like—whether you’re trying to clear up acne, prevent and fight the signs of aging, hydrate seriously dry skin, or control shine.
As Mario Badescu would say… put your best face forward!
